James A. Crumlin, Jr. is a Member with Bone McAllester Norton PLLC. He received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1994, and his J.D. from Vanderbilt in 1997. He was awarded Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Star, 2012; Forty Under 40, Nashville Business Journal, 2011; Young Leader of the Year, Young Leaders Council, 2010; Best of the Bar, Nashville Business Journal, 2009; 45 Top Leaders Under 45, Tennessee NAACP, 2008; and Nashville Emerging Leader Award for Law, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and 20/20 Leadership Alliance, 2007.  He is a current Board Member of Growth Enterprises Nashville, Inc.; Nashville Cares, Inc.; Tennessee Department of Human Resources, Board of Appeals (gubernatorial appointment); Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc.; Young Leaders Council, Inc.; and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, Inc.  Crumlin was a member of Leadership Nashville in 2010 and Leadership Middle Tennessee in 2012.  He recently served with the TBA Board of Governors as Middle Tennessee Grand Division Governor.

Crumlin enjoys “helping employers resolve their employee issues and assisting small businesses in maximizing their potential by focusing on the bottom-line and not legal problems.” Crumlin is a runner, and has completed 17 half-marathons.  He is a passionate advocate for the arts, and he actively supports the election of progressive candidates to public office.
