Edward D. Lanquist, Jr.
Edward D. Lanquist, Jr. practices with Waddey & Patterson, PC. He received his undergraduate and law degrees, with Honors, from the University of Tennessee.
Lanquist has been an NBA Member since 1988. He has served
as Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. He is a current member
of the Non-dues Revenue Committee, Intellectual Property Law Committee,
and CLE Committee. He has been the Chair of the Continuing Legal Education
Committee (twice) and the Intellectual Property Law Committee. Lanquist is
an annual Producer and Presenter of “Ethics Lies and Videotapes” along with
other CLE programs. As a young lawyer, he was vice president of the Young
Lawyers Division and chair of the ABA IP committee. He is a Fellow of the
Nashville Bar Foundation, the Young Lawyers Division, and the Tennessee
Bar Foundation. He is a Best Lawyer and a Super Lawyer, a member of the TBA IP Executive Committee and has published several articles on intellectual
property for the NBA Bar Journal. Lanquist is the current Chair of the Belcourt
Theatre, current Board member of Nashville Capital Network, past chair of the
Midsouth Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Past Board member
of Renewal House and the James E West District of the Middle Tennessee
Counsel of the Boy Scouts of America.
Bar issues of particular interest include making sure that we represent our
clients and work with other lawyers with professionalism and integrity, along
with making the Bar affordable and approachable for all lawyers.
