Jeffrey Mobley
Jeffrey Mobley is with Howard & Mobley. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College Of Law in 1982 and has practiced law in Nashville his entire career.
Mobley has served the NBA as its Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, as
its Secretary-Treasurer, as Editor of Nashville Bar Journal (when it
was called “The Docket”), as Chair of the NBA Probate Court Committee, and as a
founder and “Commish” for the first several years of the NBA Basketball League. He is
a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation, a past recipient of the NBA President’s award
for service to the NBA and regularly participates as a NBA Pro Bono volunteer. Mobley
is a Master in the Belmont College of Law Inns of Court, a Co-Author of Pritchard on Wills and Administration of Estates and a frequent speaker at NBA CLE presentations
on wills, trusts and probate. Jeff is certified as an Estate Planning Specialist by the
Tennessee Commission on CLE and Specialization. He practiced with Gullett, Sanford,
Robinson & Martin for 20 years before launching a probate and estate planning
practice on his own and (for the past 4 years) with Howard & Mobley. He coaches
youth sports (First Prez Leagues, WNSL Leagues, Lipscomb-Green Hills Leagues& AAU basketball), is a former President of FOCUS (Storefront Ministry, Congregational
Hot-Line & Nashville Inter-Faith Assoc.), is Attorney to the Board of Ensworth School, a
Room In The Inn volunteer; and youth sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church.
Areas of interest include the mentoring of new attorneys, access to the legal system
by all citizens, and service to the probate bench and bar.
