OVERVIEW: Do you get along with opposing counsel? Is it ok to call the court ex parte? How do you handle a pro se litigant? Based on her years of experience as an attorney and on the bench, Judge Amanda McClendon will discuss these topics and offer her insights into how attorneys should interact with the court, with pro se litigants, and with each other. Judge McClendon will point to the ethical rules and professional norms that govern these interactions, and she will field questions on the subject from the audience.
