Summary

Technology has become an increasingly important tool in law enforcement and criminal justice. In March 2020, the Metro Nashville Police Department deployed a pilot program of Watch Guard Body Worn Cameras and In-Car camera systems to traffic and patrol officers. The initial deployment goal is to move towards full deployment after evaluation on other elements of the criminal justice system.

Attorneys, judges, clerks, and others in the criminal justice system will surely expect to deal with a vast array of novel and complex issues stemming from the evidence produced with body worn and expanded in-car camera systems. This seminar, which includes a panel discussion with representatives from MNPD and the DA's office, will focus on the practical aspects for those involved in criminal justice work.
