Summary

The NBA Business Law Committee is pleased to present the annual NBA Business Law Institute. Registrants are invited to join their colleagues for a networking lunch and four hours of CLE credit. This year's institute will include sessions on ethics, the anatomy of a deal, data security and privacy issues, and cannabis law for business lawyers.

This session discusses a lawyer’s ethical duties with regard to data breaches and cybersecurity. The following issues will also be discussed:

Conflicts of interest in real estate, private deals, and public acquisitions—among parties, counsel, etc. What happens and what to do when word gets out about a deal, sale, or business relocation, etc. When the insider/executive negotiating on behalf of your client stands to profit, how to ensure best interest of the client.
