Summary
As we continue to keep diversity, inclusion, and opportunities for innovation at the forefront during the COVID-19 pandemic, this seminar considers whether our forced remote work environment opens the door for increased flexibility and remote work for women in the law.
Are law firms—traditionally built on face-time and long hours at the office—now more amendable to permanently consider flexible and remote work alternatives? Are in-house legal operations considering ways to attract talent by allowing increased flexibility? Are you looking to re-enter the job market or expanding your geographic scope given the availability of remote work in today’s pandemic environment?
As our Supreme Court has eased traditional methods of transacting legal business to facilitate remote work, are there aspects of these changes that will actually facilitate a more permanent ability to work in an alternative environment? Finally, for legal operations to attract and retain talent, is moving to flexible and remote work environments a way to meaningfully increase diversity?
