According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, childhood experiences, both positive and negative, have a tremendous impact on future violence victimization and perpetration and lifelong health and opportunity. Join Judges Philip Smith and Sheila Calloway, along with the Family Center, to learn about how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) impact the futures of our children and how you can help break the cycle of adverse childhood experiences.
This program will cover the types of adverse childhood experiences and how these can be observed throughout the juvenile system and in family law.
A reception with the Judges sponsored by Richards & Richards will follow the program, location to be determined.
