Summary

The Resilient Advocate:

Mastering Sleep for Optimized Judgment,

Burnout Reduction, and Sustainable Wellness

1.0 Dual Credit
*All-Access CLE 2025 Pass eligible program.

This session will explore the powerful connection between sleep health and executive function, highlighting how sleep deprivation can impair decision-making, concentration, and emotional regulation; key abilities required in legal practice. Dr. Joshua Lennon will discuss the mental and physical consequences of poor sleep and provide practical strategies to optimize rest, enhance cognitive performance, and reduce burnout among legal professionals.

In addition to wellness, this session will include an ethics component examining how chronic sleep issues may compromise an attorney’s ability to meet professional obligations under the Rules of Professional Conduct. By improving sleep health, legal professionals can safeguard their judgment, uphold ethical standards, and better serve their clients and the justice system.
