Leadership Forum Program
The Nashville Bar Foundation Leadership Forum (NBFLF) offers an innovative opportunity to learn, collaborate, network and serve the local community and the legal profession. The program provides a select group—25 nominated attorneys who practice in Davidson County—with a unique setting to develop leadership skills through monthly workshops and activities focusing on local legal and community issues. The NBFLF encourages diversity in the practice of law and helps to build relationships among attorneys with diverse backgrounds and practices.
The NBFLF has postponed the nomination and application process for the 2021 Leadership Class, due to ongoing COVID-19 and social distancing regulations. Please contact Monica should you have any questions.

Mentoring Program
Every July, the NBFLF Steering Committee asks the NBF Fellows (having 12 or more years of experience in the practice of law) to volunteer and serve as mentors for that year's Leadership Forum class. As part of the program, each member of the Leadership Forum class is assigned to a mentor. Each mentor is responsible to attend specific events with their class member and are encouraged to interact informally with them at least three times during the nine-month program.
The mentoring program is a vital part of the Leadership Forum and is designed to promote professional development and collegiality, as well as provide the class members with assistance on a myriad of practical and professional issues and concerns.
In 2014, the Nashville Bar Foundation (NBF) established the NBF Leadership Forum—a local leadership program for lawyers with three to eight years of experience—designed to bring together emerging leaders who participate in monthly workshops for nine months to help them realize their potential and to benefit the legal profession and our local community.
